Tab ninja privacy notice

This Privacy Policy describes how I, Sundance (Developer of Tab Ninja), handle your information in connection with your use of the Tab Ninja Chrome Extension (the "Extension").

1. No Data Collection

I do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, browsing history, or usage data. The Extension does not include telemetry, analytics, or any form of data tracking. All data generated by the Extension remains entirely within your browser and is never sent to any external servers.

2. Permissions Usage

The Extension requests certain Chrome permissions strictly for its core tab management functionality:

  • tabs / tabGroups: Used to view, organize, group, and manage your open tabs.

  • scripting: Enables tab suspension, restoration, and other automation features.

  • storage: Saves your tab sessions and preferences locally on your device.

  • Chrome Sync (optional): If enabled, your settings may sync across your own devices through your Google Account. This is handled by Chrome; I do not access or control this data.

Permissions are used only for features like tab grouping, session saving, duplicate detection, and memory optimization — all operating fully on your device.

3. Data Storage

All extension data (tab groups, sessions, and user preferences) is stored locally using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API. If Chrome Sync is enabled, the data may also sync via chrome.storage.sync, managed securely by Chrome. None of this data is accessible to me as the developer.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If any changes are made to this Privacy Policy, they will be reflected with a "Last Updated" date. Since no user data is collected or transmitted, updates typically involve clarification of permission use or feature behavior.5. Contact Me
