Deep Focus Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how I, Sundance (Developer of Deep Focus), handle your information in connection with your use of the Deep Focus Chrome Extension (the "Extension").

1. No Data Collection

I do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, browsing history, or usage data. The Extension does not include telemetry, analytics, or any form of data tracking. All data generated by the Extension stays entirely within your browser and is not sent to any external servers.

2. Permissions Usage

The Extension requests certain Chrome permissions only to perform its core functionality:

  • Access to tabs or websites you visit is required to block sites based on your configured blocklist.

  • Storage permission is used to save your settings (e.g., blocklist, timer preferences) locally on your device.

  • Chrome Sync (if enabled) is used to sync your settings across your own devices via your Google Account. This is entirely optional and managed by Chrome; I do not have access to this data.

These permissions are used strictly to enable features like site blocking, Pomodoro timers, and local session tracking — all of which function entirely on your device.

3. Data Storage

All data (such as your timer status, blocklist, and preferences) is stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. If Chrome Sync is enabled in your browser, this data may also be saved to your Google Account via chrome.storage.sync, which is managed and secured by Chrome.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If I make changes to this Privacy Policy, I will add a "Last Updated" date Since I do not collect any information, changes will typically relate to how the Extension functions or uses permissions.
